Loan Officer

Banking Head of Operations/Cashier

Commercial Loan Officer

Bank Forward in Fargo, ND has an opening for a full-time Commercial Loan Officer. This position is responsible for developing new business and expanding existing relationships, while ensuring loan quality and deposit growth for the bank. This position's job duties would include examining, evaluating and authorizing or recommending approval of customer applications for loans while ensuring loans meet established lending policies, complying with applicable laws/regulations and providing maximum profitability with minimal risk. Additional responsibilities include analyzing credit worthiness of applicants and negotiating terms, repayment, and collateral requirements. Must promote the bank in community involvement through active participation in community affairs and participate in marketing all of the company's products and services.

Position requires a degree in business, finance, accounting, or the equivalent in work experience and three years of lending experience with demonstrated skills in sales. Previous experience in outbound selling, prospecting and referral development preferred. Knowledge of lending policies, procedures, practices and documentation (including accounting, financial statements and cash flow analysis) required. Position requires a Bachelor's degree in business or finance, as well as three years commercial lending experience.

Individual must possess excellent customer relations, interpersonal, team player and organizational skills. Must demonstrate characteristics of high motivation, energy, and positivity. Must have working knowledge of the rules, regulations, policies and procedures governing banking services.

The Bank of North Dakota is hiring an Internal Auditor II in their Bismarck location.

Duties and Tasks
•Conduct preliminary audit research and planning.
•Research industry guidelines and regulations.
•Conduct audits of a routine nature or a segment of a moderately complex audit.
•Identify weakness of systems and controls and present recommendations for change.
•Conduct pre- and post-audit conferences.
•Prepare reports for less complex audits or assist in the preparation of reports for audits with increased complexity.
•Communicate audit findings/recommendations to management and Advisory Board.
•Perform general audit related duties, special requests, cash counts, employee account reviews, follow up on outstanding audit issues, assisting others, etc.
•Review work activities of other audit personnel and staff and provide training and coaching as appropriate.
•Coordinate external audit activities, such as the preparation of audit confirmations, scheduling external reviews, and coordinating the completion of request lists.
•Assist external audit personnel and monitor the status of engagements.
•Attend training to maintain professional certifications, attend training relevant to banking industry, attend meetings for training purposes and to exchange ideas with audit peers.

Minimum Qualifications
Requires a bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance, economics or related field and two years of auditing experience in a financial environment, financial auditing, information technology auditing, or other related field. *Hiring authority may also consider underfilling this position with an Auditor I, which requires the degree but no auditing experience.

Preferred Qualifications
•Financial Institution or state government experience is desirable.
•Desired professional certifications include:
Certified Public Accountant.
Certified Internal Auditor.
Certified Information Systems Auditor.

Other certifications relevant to the areas of responsibility will be considered by the hiring committee.

Leader of Processing

The Leader of Processing is a managerial position, this individual is responsible for the leadership of the processing team in Student Loans within Bank of North Dakota's Education Market. They must have the ability to lead, inspire, mentor and develop staff. They must have the innovation and analytical skills to identify processing areas for improvement. This individual will also serve as part of the Education Market leadership team.

This goal-driven leader will plan, organize and coordinate activities associated with processing of student loan originations and servicing; develop policies and procedures; develop team/staff goals and establish standards for performance of work by team members. Additional work experience as described may substitute for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.
