VP/Operations Manager

Western State Bank currently has a full-time opening for a VP/Operations Manager in West Fargo or Devils Lake market.

The VP-Operations Manager is a key senior leadership position, responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient operation of the bank's core operating system, and managing the deposit and electronic banking support teams.

The VP-Operations Manager position will:
• Oversee the functional activities in support of the company's strategic objectives, possessing a comprehensive understanding of the core operating system
• Lead a team that can effectively manage the bank's infrastructure.
• Responsible for ongoing system optimization and process improvements necessary to maintain an effective and competitive core operating system to continue to ensure a superior customer experience.
• Cultivates high-performance culture by creating a work environment that supports engagement, innovation, creativity, and teamwork, consistent with the organization's vision, core values, and team guidelines.

Bachelor's degree in business-related field required with 7+ years of experience in bank operations. 2+ years of management experience required. Experience working with FiServ (core operating system) preferred.

This position can be located in the Fargo/West Fargo or Devils Lake markets.

Credit Analyst

VISIONBank has a Credit Analyst position available. This position is an integral part of the lending team. A great deal of time will be spent communicating with internal lending staff, clients, program lenders of various guaranty programs or others that benefit the client and/or mitigate credit risk. Preparation of detailed credit presentations is also part of the position.

Responsibilities also include strong knowledge of the internal loan policy and outside banking guidelines in regard to credit risk. Must be aware of internal and external lending limits and ensure bank is compliance with these limits at all times.

A minimum of three to five years of previous credit experience is required. Hours are Monday - Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM.

Compliance Auditor

Starion Bank, in Bismarck and Fargo, has an opening for a compliance auditor.

Responsible for performing individual compliance audits - as part of the annual compliance audit plan, researching and staying informed of all new or enhanced regulations, and clearly communicating this information to applicable stakeholders in the bank. Responsibility includes developing audit scope, performing audit procedures, and preparing audit reports reflecting the results of the work performed. Work performed will focus on compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and bank policies.

Additional responsibilities include following-up on the status of outstanding audit issues, responding to compliance inquiries, periodic reporting to the Audit Committee, completion of risk assessments, compliance training, assisting with external examinations/audits and the development of the annual compliance audit plan.

Desired qualifications include a thorough understanding of banking laws and regulations, experience preparing and conducting compliance training sessions, and working knowledge of audit principles and standards. Ability to work independently, multitask, and work cooperatively with others across the organization to achieve shared objectives. Strong verbal and written communication skills, to effectively present to peers and management.

Successful candidates will have a bachelor's degree, two or more years of banking compliance experience, and a proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Deposit Compliance Officer

Gate City Bank in Fargo has a position open for a deposit compliance officer responsible for performing the necessary functions to support and maintain the Bank's deposit regulatory, legal, and policy compliance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Serves as the primary compliance contact for Business and Personal Deposit related topics.
• Strong and collaborative business partner for all areas of the Bank to help foster an environment of compliance, innovation, and creativity to serve our customers and employees.
• Sets the deposit related compliance expectations, informs the applicable responsible parties of the expectations, and approves the final implementation by the subject matter experts.
• Oversees the development and review of all deposit related policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
• Oversees the monitoring of compliance-related procedures and performs testing to insure procedures are being followed and forms are being used properly.
• Acts as a resource to personnel for questions regarding regulatory issues.
• Serves as a member of the Compliance Committee, representing the deposit related compliance.
• Responsible for monitoring the requirements of regulatory agencies to ensure compliance in regard to all deposit policy, procedures, reports, disclosures, notices and forms.
• Directs the implementation of the deposit related compliance program to ensure conformity with federal and state laws and helps coordinate compliance audits and organization of examinations.
• Analyzes the impact of any new laws and regulations, or amendments to existing regulations, on current operations products and services. Clearly communicates such impact to the department manager(s).
• Oversees the development and implementation of deposit-related compliance training.
• Partners with the deposit departments to address and resolve potential compliance issues and ensure all business practices are compliant.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field desired; minimum of 3 years of financial institution experience; minimum of 3 years of deposit compliance experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of federal regulations for consumer compliance.
• Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) required or must obtain in an appropriate timeframe.
• Analytical skills, ability to review a process and/or procedure and evaluate effectiveness.
• Ability to meet accountabilities with limited direction and oversight.
