Credit Analyst

Responsible for financial analysis of credit requests and special projects. Prepares financial statement spreadsheets, conducts financial and borrower analysis, and prepares credit approval presentations. Agriculture credit analysis experience in WebEquity software is preferred. Sound analytical, problem solving, organizational, time management, and written communication skills are required.

Successful candidates will possess two to five years of experience in credit analysis, accounting or a related field. A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or business field is preferred.

Special Assets Officer

Due to an internal promotion, we are recruiting for a Special Assets Officer. Responsible for managing and resolving a portfolio of special assets through rehabilitation, exit, or liquidation, as well as oversight responsibilities for past dues, overdrafts, and covenant enforcement. Works with borrowers, originating lenders, and legal counsel to develop and execute plans to ensure timely resolution of accounts while minimizing losses and controlling expenses, assist with modifications to loan structures, determine appropriate risk rating, accrual status, and charge-offs/charge downs. Will lead training, write special asset loan policy, complete credit analysis, appraisal review, and assist in completion of special projects and assignments.

Accountable for having a vision for and actively engaging in activities that reduce past due and non-performing loans for credits bank wide. Performs training designed to prevent loans currently being booked from becoming non-performing loans in the future. For loans that are currently problem loans, responsible to develop rehabilitation and workout strategies including obtaining additional collateral, securing additional guarantees, collection activities, credit restructuring, payment deferral, forbearance agreement, foreclosure, liquidation action, etc. Accountable for special assets policy administration and training business bankers and credit analysts on loan documentation, collection, bankruptcy, and underwriting issues leading to a lower degree of risk of default and charge offs on loans.

Successful candidates will possess a minimum of five years of commercial and ag lending and underwriting experience, including loan review and commercial, ag and retail collections. Also requires a working knowledge of loan restructures and collection, bankruptcy and foreclosure laws, along with a general understanding of legal proceedings. A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or business field is preferred.

Financial Analyst

Prepares various financial analysis based on monthly/annual reporting numbers. Monitor balance sheet and income statement transactions and fluctuations on a bank-wide and branch level through the review of the Bank's daily statement. Develop or maintain current balance sheet and income statement trend analysis
spreadsheets/workbooks. Gain an understanding, and apply that understanding, to Bank's report writing tools to assist in various analysis projects. Assist in the monthly financial reporting process, or compilation of the Baker reports, Board Summary Financial, etc. Research any significant or unusual balance fluctuations from prior month or from budget. Prepare various analysis reports for Management.

Successful candidates will possess a minimum of one to three years of financial analysis experience. A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or business is preferred.

Loan Officer

Applicant must be able to: approve loans within specified limits, and refer loan applications outside those limits to management for approval; meet with applicants to obtain information for loan applications and to answer questions about the loan process; analyze applicants' financial status, credit, and property evaluations to determine feasibility of granting loans; explain to customers the different types of loans and credit options that are available, as well as the terms of those services; be able to manage past due, delinquent, or collection loans.

Bank Secrecy Act and Fraud Manager

Gate City Bank is now hiring for a Fraud Mitigation Manager at our Fargo Corporate office. This position is responsible for preventing losses to Gate City Bank by minimizing the risk of fraud exposure and investigate fraud and suspicious activity. Oversees the Bank's BSA and Anti-Money Laundering Compliance program. Provides leadership and support to the Fraud Mitigation Department by performing the following duties either personally or through subordinates:

Mitigate risks of fraud throughout the Bank by establishment of preventative measures, procedures, and effective training.
Reviews various fraud prevention reports to monitor unconventional customer account behavior, contacting customers when necessary, and limiting customer account access as needed.
Monitor various compliance surveillance and exception reports. Conduct periodic internal account/customer reviews to identify potentially suspicious activity. Completely and accurately document steps taken through the investigation process.
Lead investigations surrounding suspicious activity. Bring investigations to a conclusion through staff communication, customer interaction, and/or legal proceedings.
Maintains favorable customer relations with law enforcement and judicial agency personnel through regular contact; exercise discretionary judgement and initiative regarding fraud claims within the parameters of the organization policies, procedures, and security.
Act as the Bank's BSA (Bank Secrecy Act) Officer & the Bank's OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets Control) Officer.
File Suspicious Activity Report (SARs) and/or notify law enforcement authorities as needed

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field desired; minimum of 5 years of financial institution experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. BSA/AML Certification required or must obtain in an appropriate time frame. Extensive knowledge in Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering/ U.S. Patriot Act and OFAC Regulation is required.

Chief Credit Officer

Position Overview:
Responsible for review of First Western Bank & Trust's loan portfolio on a continuing basis: to assure appropriate documentation and underwriting; to monitor the bank's credit quality within compliance safety and soundness standards; and monitor the asset portfolio for diversification.

Job Functions:
Oversee the loan review, compliance, collections, processing and credit analysis functions including adherence to policies and practices of the bank and applicable regulatory and governmental agencies
Implement a system of credit analysis and quality assurance for loans as directed by the Board; assign appropriate risk ratings as needed in conjunction with loan loss reserve analysis
Examine files periodically for assurance of credit and collateral documentation, regulatory compliance and loan policy conformance; review technical exceptions and deficiencies; provide reports of continued outstanding exceptions to the Board of Directors
Prepare written analyses on all concentrations of credit, aggregate lending relationships vs. indebtedness for individual borrowers, complex loans and weak loans
Identify problem loans, make recommendations of loans reviewed quarterly with the board

Lending Systems Manager

The Lending Systems Manager has direct management oversight of the lending department's processing and workflow systems including the provisioning, configuration, administration, and maintenance of systems. The Lending Systems Manager supports all lending department managers in fulfilling technological strategic goals and expectations of the customer's experience, including research and development of proposed systems through validation and implementation of those systems. This position has the main responsibility to ensure the systems are working optimally and successfully. This position has direct oversight responsibility of managing relationships and interaction with third party system vendors and the internal IT department. This individual will lead and manage most lending system projects.

Essential Responsibilities:
Responsible to ensure lending systems are used accurately, consistently and efficiently with optimum utilization to maximize return on investment.
Provide necessary project support in conjunction with needs of Lending Management and Corporate Project and Process Management.
Understand the lending department's system needs and goals and ensure business systems and technology align with those needs and goals.
Responsible to ensure vendor management and model management procedures are completed accurately, timely and thoroughly in the lending department.

Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting or equivalent professional experience required.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in business and consumer lending required.
Previous experience managing technology platforms and relationships with technology vendors required.
Demonstrated technological aptitude.
Proven analysis and problem-solving skills.
Knowledgeable in report development and presentation tools.
Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly and apply knowledge to company needs.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Exhibited ability to manage productive collaboration between internal departments.
