FDIC Appoints Special Committee to Investigate Agency’s Workplace Culture

The FDIC board announced the establishment of a special committee to oversee an independent third-party review of the agency’s workplace culture. The board appointed Directors Jonathan McKernan and Michael Hsu to co-chair the special committee. The committee’s formation comes after lawmakers from both parties called for independent investigations of reports of alleged misbehavior by FDIC employees.
