FDIC to Hold Free Deposit Insurance Seminars for Bank Staff

FDIC will host five virtual seminars between May 24 and Oct. 16 on FDIC deposit insurance coverage for bank staff and bank officers. Each seminar will be hosted through Microsoft Teams, be approximately 90 minutes in length and include a Q&A session, the agency said.

Three sessions, titled “Comprehensive Deposit Insurance Seminar for Bankers,” will offer a broad overview of FDIC deposit insurance rules. Two sessions, titled “New Rules for Revocable and Irrevocable Trust Accounts,” will provide an in-depth discussion of the newly issued rules for trust accounts, which will go into effect April 1, 2024.
