Fed Economists: Global Supply Chain Pressure Stabilizing at ‘Historically High Levels’

Global supply chain pressures declined in May, reversing the increase observed for April, according to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York’s new Global Supply Chain Pressure Index. “The majority of GSCPI components decreased, resulting in a moderate decline for the month,” Fed economists noted. “The moves in the GSCPI over the past three months suggest, for now, a stabilization of global supply chain pressures at historically high levels.”
